Sonor Vintage 16″ x 14″ Floor Tom (VT 15 1614 FT)

The Sonor vintage series revisits the classic Sonor sound by modelling itself after the 1960’s Sonor Teardrop kit. The floor tom features classic features with a modern twist,  such as the superprofil hoops, Teardrop lugs and the 9-ply beech wood shells. The shells are crafted in Germany with premium German Beech wood, they’re created into thin 6mm 9-ply shells which produces a superb sound of pronounced highs and mids with a powerful low-end punch. The shells are also made with round bearing edges that provides you with more contact with the head which produces a shorter and beefier sound.

The Superprofil hoops have been redesigned by Sonor for the purpose of the vintage series, these classic hoops have been altered to include a 2.3mm triple flanged steel hoop while still holding their original shape. Sonor have also integrated the TuneSafe system into the teardrop lugs which ensures maximum tuning stability.
